California Science Center Los Angeles

Located at the Los Angeles Exposition Park, the Science Center plays host to the annual California State Science Fair. It also showcases vehicles that have seen the mark of scientific innovation including the Lockheed A-12 Oxcart and the NASA NF-104 Starfighter. The Center receives its sponsorship from both the state and the foundation that is responsible for its day to day administration.

The Science Center hosts the largest technological show house in America's West Coast, redesigned in the year 1998 from the California Museum of Science and Industry. The Center came to be known with its current name and presently includes the Sketch Foundation Gallery previously named the Aerospace Hall, and the IMAX Theater.

The Center was stationed to be a science museum prior to 1993 but this was reconsidered in the same year with a view to making it an education facility without losing its status as a scientific establishment. The plan was slotted into 3 phases, where the first phase included the remodeling of the main building and approached completion in 1998.

Phase 3 has already been planned although the second phase may take sometime to finish as it involves the construction of a new parking and incorporation of ornamental designs into the museum's grounds. This will make quite a nice visit for travelers staying in the hotel in Los Angeles CA.
