Who says museums are only for geeks? When you have visited the Getty Center for a nice Los Angeles CA travel, you will say otherwise. Museums can absolutely stir your imagination and make you travel back to the past, especially among kids. I personally love museums and cultural centers because they present the vanity and at the same time, the simplicity of the way ancient people thinks about the world.
Just like the Getty Center in Brentwood, Los Angeles that mainly features pre-20th century European arts, many other museums showcase different cultures and traditions.
One might obsess with the rich collections of paintings, sculptures, manuscripts, and other decorative arts in Europe because of their value and worth. This type of person is understandably an adult, probably a history professor or an enthusiast. In case that this person is just a kid or perhaps a young adult, he or she is probably a geek.
But there is something about visiting museums like Getty Center that can make any person love it. As this is a fun way to make your kids remember history and boost their grades in this subject, for young adults this is just like being entertained by history. Hear them exclaim: so this is where the movie "300″ had been based, huh? Cool!
As for me, a full blown non-geeky adult, the Getty Center is another revelation about the ancient Europe. If you are still not convinced, then you are probably the boring one. By just looking at the vast collection of centuries-worth of European history can make you travel back in time and in Europe.
Museums like the Getty Center are as good as your time machine movies and story books portraying the ancient past. They may be even better as they show you the real things that are depicted in the movies.
