The museum is open at 9:30am until 5pm from Monday to Sunday except for holidays like New Year's Day, Independence Day and Christmas Day where the museum will be close. Adult's admission fee is $9 and students and senior citizens are $6.50, while children less than 4 years of age can enjoy going to the museum for free.

One of the famous collections in the museum is the Dinosaurs Hall which is currently under renovation and will be available in 2011. Aside from Dinosaurs there's also the La Brea Tar Pits where fossils of mammoths, saber-toothed tigers and giant ground sloths are available.
