Who are the nominees for the 25th Spirit Awards
The Spirit Awards have several categories for their awards. Perhaps the most important is the Best Feature where there are five nominees. Namely Sin Nombre, Precious, The Last Station, {500} Days of Summer and Amreeka. On the Best Director category they also have five nominees which are James Gray for Two Lovers, Michael Hoffman for The Last Station, Lee Daniels for Precious, Joel Coen and Ethan Coen for A Serious Man and Cary Joji Fukunaga for Sin Nombre.
The independent film is slowly a growing industry having more followers each year. More film makers have the change to create their very own movie with just as little budget as possible. And maybe this is one of the reasons why indie films are more popular than big budgeted films. Indie films gives its viewers raw and simple type of movie which focuses more on the story than the special effects which major films tend to have.
