This is one of the first mayor projects of Villaraigosa during his first term as city mayor. He was also very successful in coming up with an anti-gang strategy in the city.

5. Shutting down failing schools

World class education is the mayor's major concern for the city of Los Angeles. And this is the project to insure that all schools in Los Angeles give high quality education.
