There are a lot of summer job opportunities which the government offers for the youth in Los Angeles. But they have a few requirements which an applicant must meet in order to qualify. They must meet any of the follow requirements

- Between 14-19 years of age and the family receives assistance from the Los Angeles County

- If the applicant is a Foster Youth between 14-19 years of age

- If the applicant is between 18-24 years old and is currently receiving General Relief benefits

It was when the first settlers, the 44 Pobladores were gathered and escorted by soldiers and padres from the mission at San Gabriel Mission.

The San Gabriel Mission or Mission San Gabriel Arcangel is a Roman Catholic mission and a historic landmark in San Gabriel, California which was founded September 8, 1771. San Gabriel Arcangel is often referred to as the "Godmother of the Pueblo of Los Angeles".
