The Big Brother Big Sister is one of the biggest and successful volunteer programs in Los Angeles. Joining and becoming a mentor to children is easy. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age. He or she should have clean and safe driving records, and should never have been convicted of a felony.

The applicant must be willing to meet the child assign to them for at least twice a month with 2 to 3 hours per visit. And they should be ready to keep at least a year commitment with the program and continue to keep a long term relationship with the child they have been assigned to.
