One of the worst incidents which have etched a mark in history was the Massacre of 1871 where 19 Chinese men and boys were killed by the local. But now the community was able to prove that they are here to stay. Their population is now estimated to be 62,288 and still continues to grow. Now the Chinese community was able to co-exist with the Los Angeles locals peacefully.
