
What's the first Metro subway route in Los Angeles
The Los Angeles first subway is Blue Line started service in 1990 but it's not a full underground rail. Only the 0.5 mile of the 22 miles total rail length of the Blue Line is a subway. The first fully underground Metro line is the Red Line. It was open in 1993.
It took the Metro Rail seven years to finish their very first fully underground rail. It runs a total of 17.4 miles. The rail starts from the Downtown Los Angeles and stops at Universal City and North Hollywood.
