The highest ever recorded was 112oF recorded in Downtown Los Angeles on June 26, 1990 within the city and on July 22, 2006 its 119oF in Woodland Hills in the county.

This highest recorded temperature was included in the 2006 North America heat wave. It spreads throughout United States and Canada which started from July 15, 2006 and killed 225 people total. And the highest numbers of recorded deaths are from California. There at least 38 people died in California.
