
When was the Los Angeles Press Club founded
It was first launched shortly after 1900; the club was located above Dick Ferris' office at South Hill Street downtown. But with the great depression followed by World War II in 1930 the club stopped its operation. But immediately after World War II the four surviving newspaper saw the need for all journalist to get together. So in September 24, 1946 the Greater Los Angeles Press Club was founded.

Ever since the club have experience some colorful history and one of which was choosing Marilyn Monroe to be their very first Miss Press Club.
