There are four Amtrak routes which is serving Los Angeles. Namely the Coast Starlight which runs between Los Angeles, Seattle via Portland and Oakland. There's the Pacific Surfliner which runs between Los Angeles to San Diego. There's the Southwest Chief which have a daily route to Chicago, Albuquerque and Kansas City.

And lastly, there's the Sunset Limited which have routes at New Orleans via Tucson to San Antonio.

Not all trains have daily routes to Los Angeles. If unsure you have to check at your local train station for train schedule.
