Can you name a military base in Los Angeles used as a recruitment center
Hollywood American Legion Post #43 was used by the Navy as a recruitment center during the World War II. It is an Egyptian Revival-Moroccan Deco architectural style facility where historical artifacts (weapons, gas masks, torpedo housings, rare battle maps and memorabilia) from the World War I era are housed.
The place is open only on Veteran's Day to the public. There is a main auditorium which has been used for several occasions and events. The post has seen its fill to being a recruitment center, to being a night club dining area and to being a venue for commercial and film shoots and even private parties.
