The Megan's Law was named after a 7 year old girl named Megan Kanka who was killed by a child molester who lives across the street without them knowing it. Now all State has a certain form of Megan's Law. So now sex offenders' records are as complete as possible.

And their complete address where they are presently living. All these are free for the public to view and know if they are living next door with a convicted child molester.
