
What's the oldest part in Downtown Los Angeles
The Los Angeles Plaza Historic District which is also referred to as El Pueblo de Los Angeles State Historic Park is considered as one of the oldest part of Los Angeles. It is located at Downtown Los Angeles. The Plaza have been around and been the center of the whole city under the Spanish era of 1781-1821 and still stands until the city was under the Mexican era of 1821-1847, until they'd been under the United States after 1847 until now. Some establishments are still functional like the La Placita Church which still helds mass for the catholic followers near the place.

The original Plaza is also still on its original location where it symbolizes the city's birthplace. The plaza was built around the 1820s. And is still the site for some important events and festivals. One of the important things to see in the plaza is the three figures which show the city's history, which includes King Carlos III of Spain, Felipe de Neve and Father Junipero Serra. The Olvera Street is also one if the famous places to see in the Los Angeles Plaza Historic District, where you can see the most colorful marketplace in the entire city.
