Yes, it is called Los Angeles Taxi Workers Alliance. It is an organization composed of community activists, taxi cab workers, lawyers and civil rights and social justice organizations.

It was formed in July 2005 so that working conditions of the taxi workers would be improved; they would have more control over their jobs and gain more respect. The critical focus of the organization is the status of the drivers. They have this byline "...Fighting for the dignity, respect and rights of taxi workers."
