What is the U.S.S Los Angeles (CA-135) and what role did it play in the U.S. Navy
The U.S.S. Los Angeles (CA-135) is a U.S. Navy ship. It is a 675-foot heavy cruiser and was commissioned in 1945. The vessel had a record of the "longest sustained bombardment" ever taken by an American warship during the Korean War.
U.S.S. Los Angeles Naval Monument is formed by the ship's main mast, the two anchors and one of the anchor chain capstans. The monument was dedicated in 1977 to the honorable men and ships of the U.S. Navy.
