University application requirements for a transfer student in California State University Los Angeles

For Upper division transfer students (60 or more semester units), the requirements are:

- Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.00 if a resident of California and 2.40 (if otherwise)

- grade of C or better in subjects such as English, Speech, Critical thinking and Math

- a student of good moral character.

For Lower division transfer students (less than 60 semester units, the requirements are:

- a GPA of 2.00+ and of good moral character

- a high school eligibility score of 2,900 in Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) and 694 in American College Test (ACT) if one is a CA resident or graduate of CA high school

- a score of 3,402 (SAT) and 842 (ACT) if one is not a CA resident or CA high school graduate

- the student must meet the minimum requirements in all areas.
